It Doesn't Get much Better Than
This!
We are in the middle of one of the best ski
seasons in the past twenty years. With the exception of a four day
January thaw conditions have rarely been better. Ski country has completely
recovered from the thaw. Last weekend at Sunday River featured some
of the best packed powder skiing you could ask for. Before it is too
late why not take advantage of our great rates and get in some skiing?
February and March traditionally offer up the
season’s best conditions. We still have space available on all trips
but some are filling fast. This season has seen the group add a lot
of new members. Very few of the new members seem to be joining any
of the trips. If you are a new member please accept our invitation
to join us on a day or weekend trip. You will have good time guaranteed.
It’s easy to register; on line, by mail, by
phone or at a meeting. We accept MC/VISA
and AMEX. The website and the ski group’s answer machine are 100%
secure. Deposits are required for all trip registrations. Deposits
are per person as follows: Weekend Trips, $50; Day Trips, Paid in
full; Ski Weeks, $200. We cannot accept any registrations without
a deposit.
There is no requirement to attend a meetings but the group encourages
members to attend. What are you waiting for? See you at the Elks on
February 6th.See you on the slopes.
Space remains available on all trips. However all
of the trips are filling fast. St Pat's weekend is always the most
popular trip with over 600 skiers last season. We anticipate large
turnout again this season. In fact over 300 skiers have already registered
.Sugarloaf and Jay are also proving to be very popular with lots of
space already on deposit. Stowe sold out early and we expect the remaining
trips to be no different. Get your deposits in and guarantee your
spot on these trips.
Please be aware that with the acquisition of Sunday River and Sugarloaf
by Boyne Corp we no longer enjoy the lenient late registrations of
past season. Deadlines are Feb 15 for St Pats and Mar 1 for Sugarloaf.
If you miss these dates we can't guaranteed that space will be available
especially in view of the record winter snows we have experienced.
The Ski Group will hold its annual ski night at Wachusett on Wednesday,
February 27th. Many in the group are pass holders. If you need a ticket
we can them for $25 paid in advance to the ski group. Tickets can
be picked up at customer service on ski night. Your name will be on
list for pickup. We will get together in the Elm/Fir room on the upper
level of the lodge. Cash bar and food will be available in the Copper
Top Lounge. Tickets are valid from 4-10. We will start our get together
at 6:30 See you at Wachusett.
